بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
I love finding Deen-inspired stationery. And SubhanAllah! Now, there are so many awesome Muslim creatives with products specially made for this blessed Ummah. I recently received this elegant planner from Quran Journals.
We all could aim to memorize the book of Allah. In fact we should. And intentions always go farther than actions. After setting our intentions, we should keep at our goal with discipline. A planner would help you break these set huge tasks into achievable milestones and as you journal through you journey are able to decide what works and what doesn’t work.
The first thing that got me was the ayah on the cover of the book. It reads:
وَلَقَدۡ يَسَّرۡنَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ لِلذِّكۡرِ فَهَلۡ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍ۬
And We have indeed made the Qur’an easy to understand and remember, then is there any that will remember? [Al-Qamar:17,22,32,40]
It is one of my favourite ayahs. When I was doing bayyinah access 1, Ustadha F. would always remind us of it when things were easy and difficult. Allah has said He would make it easy. We just need to put in the effort.
The story behind the Qur’an memorization planner
The product is by a husband and wife duo – Kariim and Shazia.
Kariim has been a student of Qur’an for the past 6 years. He is currently a teacher to a few young huffadh-in-training, and is still pursuing his studies Arabic and Fiqh. He had been on the lookout for a Qur’an memorization planner for himself and his students. he decided to well make one which would encourage his students to set their goals and record and track their progress.
Shazia used to be a professional web designer and blogger. She is now a stay at home mum who enjoys the company of her 5 beautiful children. She was really itching for an opportunity to be creative again. This project with her husband was the perfect thing to get her back to work.
Features of this planner
- The Qur’an Memorization Planner has 28 weekly sections, and about 128 pages.
- The planner has a list of all the Surahs in the Qur’an for you to check progress and completion.
- Then some pages to list your monthly goals. What I found really cool about them is they have different Hadith reminders.
- Daily undated pages with columns for goals, accomplishments and home work.
- Weekly goal setting
- Check boxes to tick salat and good deeds done for the day.
- The print quality of the journal is great too MashaAllah.
It was intended as a Qur’an memorization planner but I think it will make a great study planner too at what ever level of Quran interaction you are at. I mean whether its studying Tafseer, Tajweed, reflecting on its Ayahs or studying its grammar.
The planners are available in teal, ivory and pink and will make great gifts for you and your loved ones. Plus with Ramadhan and Eid so close, you are probably wondering what to gift your loved ones. Qur’an Journals ship worldwide and you can find them on instagram here.
I would recommend the planners to anyone who is on the path of memorization of the Qur’an and to teachers of Huffadh-in-training.
Until next time,
